On May 6, 2023, AvantGarde hosted its annual AG Family Picnic at Smokey Glen Farm in Metro D.C.. This was the first company-wide in person get together in more than three years! This long-awaited reunion brought together over 50 AG employees and their family members, many of whom had never met in person due to a growing number of geographically dispersed team members. A beautiful day with bright smiles and sunshine made for some picture-perfect moments -- check out our photo gallery from the event below!
Throughout the day, families had the opportunity to take advantage of the gorgeous weather; enjoy yummy food and beverages; and participate in a variety of outdoor activities. There was something for everyone -- the petting zoo of soft furry animals was a real hit, mini golf was so popular we had to peel away families to eat lunch, there were some rousing horseshoes games, the corn hole games were put to use, the wine-glass painting was a huge hit with team members showing off their artistic sides then putting their masterpieces to use straight away, and the magician captured the attention of the crowd and left everyone in awe.
A good time was had by all, and we are thrilled that AvantGarde’s family picnic was such a success, providing a fun and relaxing day for employees and their loved ones. It was a great way for AG to show appreciation for its employees and foster the AG community spirit among the staff. We owe a special thanks to all the volunteers who made it possible. And a big THANK YOU to everyone who attended – it was so wonderful to be together at long last and we’re already looking forward to the next one!
