At AvantGarde, we believe that investing in people is one of the most meaningful ways to strengthen communities, develop future leaders, and create lasting impact. We were proud to serve as a sponsor of the Hispanic 100 Foundation's A Night of Distinction Gala, a memorable evening celebrating Latino leadership while investing in the next generation of scholars and changemakers.

Held at the Waldorf Astoria in Washington, D.C., and sanctioned by Freedom 250 as part of America's 250th anniversary commemoration, the black-tie gala honored the enduring contributions of the Latino community to our nation's history, culture, business, public service, and future. The evening brought together distinguished business, civic, philanthropic, and community leaders united by a shared commitment to recognizing excellence and expanding educational opportunity.

AvantGarde CEO Rebecca Contreras was honored to serve as the evening's Master of Ceremonies. As a member of the Hispanic 100 Foundation Board of Directors, Rebecca helped celebrate an organization whose mission reflects the power of leadership, mentorship, and investing in future generations.

One of the evening's most significant achievements was raising more than $300,000 in scholarship funding to support 30 students participating in the Hispanic 100 Foundation's 2026 Mentor Program. Many of these students are the first in their families to pursue higher education, and these scholarships represent more than financial assistance. They create opportunities for leadership development, mentorship, and long-term success.

The gala also recognized six outstanding individuals whose leadership and contributions have made a lasting impact across their respective fields through the American Legacy of Distinction Awards:

  • Arts & Entertainment: Esai Morales

  • Business: Julio Gonzalez

  • Faith Advocacy & Service: Dr. Maria Alejandra Segura

  • Public Health: Dr. Antonia Novello

  • Public Service: Hon. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen

  • Sports: Anthony Muñoz

AvantGarde extends its sincere congratulations to Mario Rodriguez, Executive Director Michelle Rose, the Hispanic 100 Foundation Board of Directors, and the entire planning committee for delivering an inspiring evening that honored the past while investing in the future. Special recognition also goes to Elaine Coronado for creating an elegant and memorable event experience that reflected the significance of the occasion.

Supporting organizations that expand educational access, develop future leaders, and strengthen communities aligns closely with AvantGarde's mission of helping organizations, and the people they serve, reach their fullest potential. We are proud to support initiatives that celebrate leadership, create opportunity, and empower the next generation to make a lasting impact on our communities and our country.
