As we close out another federal fiscal year, AvantGarde is proud to reflect on a season that tested the strength of our resilience and the power of our unity of vision. Despite broad government budget cuts impacting many organizations across our industry – including a sizeable loss sustained by AG – we held steady. AG continues to deliver exceptional service for our long-standing federal clients while also extending our footprint with new services and multi-year vehicles, including winning our recompete for a new five-year BPA with a key client on the Hill.

This past year reinforced what has always been true about AG: our people are our greatest strength. Through collaboration, innovation, and a relentless commitment to client success, our teams continued to deliver results that matter. Whether through day-to-day operational excellence or high-impact strategic initiatives, AG showed that even in times of external constraint and loss, we can adapt, stabilize, and create opportunities that build lasting value for our partners.

At the same time, we leaned fully into our Pivot Plan, a vision cast early in the calendar year by our CEO, Rebecca Contreras. Recognizing the challenging budget climate in DC, she brought our senior managers – and subsequently our entire management team – together to mobilize a plan of action. Today this Pivot Plan is in full motion, with each of the major pillars led by our talented senior managers and supported by our dedicated teams. In true form, we drew a deliberate line in the sand: to lead and not play victim to loss, but instead to thrive in change, not just survive it. This intentional strategy is guiding AG into new markets and fueling our diversification into the state and local space. Over the past few months, we have built strategic alliances in Texas and celebrated a major milestone in Florida with the award of a state-wide management consulting vehicle. These achievements mark a pivotal step forward in broadening our impact and sustaining our growth.

Our journey was also recently recognized at home. The Austin Business Journal named AG among the Top 5 minority-owned businesses in the Austin area, the home of our CEO and the headquarters of AG. This honor is a proud reflection of our roots, our people, and our commitment to excellence.

Looking ahead to FY26, we remain steadfast in our mission: to partner with our federal clients while expanding into state and local markets to solve their most complex human capital, organizational, and IT challenges. Change is inevitable, but at AG, resilience is our constant. We are grateful for our loyal clients who continue to entrust us with their missions and ask us to do more. And we are thankful for our dedicated team, whose commitment to excellence makes AG a great company to work for and with.

Here’s to a strong start to FY26!
