AvantGarde Celebrates Generaciones at the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber’s Celebrando Austin 2026

At AvantGarde, we believe strong communities are built across generations: by the leaders who opened doors, the business owners who keep them open, and the young people preparing to walk through them next. AvantGarde was proud to serve as a sponsor of the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s Celebrando Austin 2026: Generaciones, an evening honoring the legacy, contributions, and influence of the Latino community in Central Texas.

Held on October 3 at the JW Marriott Austin, the gala brought together business, civic, and community leaders for a night of live music, dinner, a live auction, and an awards presentation, followed by an after-party celebration. This year's theme, Generaciones, celebrated the leaders who built Austin's Hispanic business community and the next generation who will carry it forward.

AvantGarde CEO, Rebecca Contreras attended alongside two participants from Girls of Legacy, Israa Wadif and Valentina Lozada. Bringing Girls of Legacy to the table reflected the spirit of the evening: giving young women a seat in the rooms where community leadership happens and showing them what's possible in business and public life.
AvantGarde has partnered with the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for over a decade, and we continue to value the Chamber's work supporting Hispanic-owned businesses across Austin. During Hispanic Heritage Month, we were especially proud to celebrate that work and the people behind it.
Funds raised through the evening's live auction will support future community programs for entrepreneurs, small businesses, and future generations in Central Texas.
The Chamber also recognized five outstanding honorees for their leadership and impact:
Lifetime Achievement Award: Rosamaria Murillo, PhD, LMSW
Businesswoman of the Year: Natalia Sanchez Alvarez
Businessman of the Year: Andrew Trivino
Community Champion Award: St. Edward's University
Corporation of the Year Award: Circuit of the Americas

AvantGarde extends its congratulations to this year's honorees and its sincere thanks to the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, its leadership, and its planning team for an inspiring evening.
Supporting organizations that strengthen small businesses, develop leaders, and open doors for the next generation aligns closely with AvantGarde's mission of helping organizations, and the people they serve, reach their fullest potential. Celebrating Generaciones was a reminder that legacy isn't only something we inherit. It's something we build and pass on.
