“The 2020 list of women-owned businesses features eligible companies in the Austin area. To be eligible, firms must be at least 51 percent women owned, have local headquarters and able to disclose revenue. Companies responding represent a myriad of industries and services from real estate, engineering and tech to staffing, marketing and all kinds of services in between. The top 50 listmakers have a combined revenue just over $620 for 2019, which is down from $758 million the prior year. The biggest reason for the lower combined total is due to the top listmaker last year, GTS Technology, not participating this time around. In all, the 2020 list includes nine companies new to ranks of the top 50 listmakers.
