AG Gives Back: Girls of Legacy 2025 Fundraiser Event Highlight

On July 17th, AvantGarde was proud to sponsor and support the annual Girls of Legacy Fundraiser Gala—a signature event in our AG Give Back efforts. Held at the Headliners Club in downtown Austin, the evening celebrated four years of impact through the Girls of Legacy (GOL) program, which provides mentorship, professional development, and scholarships to young women pursuing higher education.
Over the past 3.5 years, AvantGarde and Rebecca have together contributed more than $100,000 to the Girls of Legacy initiative through ongoing match-giving. We remain committed to empowering young women to pursue their academic and career goals—investing in the future of leadership and service.
This year’s event welcomed one new participant, Marissa, bringing the total number of girls in the program to ten. Rebecca Contreras, AG CEO and Girls of Legacy founder, introduced seven of the girls who attended in person. Each one shared her college, major, and future goals—offering a powerful glimpse into the dreams that GOL is helping make possible.
AvantGarde’s Texas-based team played a hands-on role in bringing the event to life. AG team members Elicia, Tara, Holly, Crystaline, Alyssa, Chris, and Carol joined Rebecca in volunteering their time and talent—handling everything from event setup to guest coordination, silent auction support, and more. Their commitment exemplifies AG’s dedication to community impact beyond the workplace.
One of our many special guests of the evening, Elaine Mingus—USOA Mrs. Texas 2025—shared a heartfelt message of resilience, hope, and courage. She encouraged our Girls of Legacy students and attendees to use their voices to share stories of strength. The event also featured a lively silent auction, made possible by generous donations from local partners and supporters.
Although the night was full of generosity and encouragement, we have not yet reached our $25,000 fundraising goal for the girls’ fall scholarships. Ten young women are counting on us to fully fund their tuition—and every dollar you give will be matched and go directly to support them.
