For more than a decade, AvantGarde’s DNA has included a focus on giving back to the community and those in need.
As part of AvantGarde’s 2025 end-of-year giving, the owners of AvantGarde, Greg and Rebecca, made a meaningful contribution to support children deeply impacted by the ongoing war in Israel. Their donation reflects AvantGarde’s continued commitment to investing in vulnerable communities, especially children, and responding to moments of urgent human need.
The donation was made to Israel’s national network of care for children with disabilities (ALEH). For more than 40 years, ALEH has provided intensive, round-the-clock therapeutic care to children facing severe physical and developmental challenges.
In June 2025, one of ALEH’s facilities was struck by a missile. While no children or staff were physically harmed, the attack caused extensive damage to the center’s specialized therapeutic equipment and deeply affected the children with emotional trauma.
AvantGarde’s donation directly supports ALEH’s “Restoring Voices” initiative, a post-trauma technology program designed to help children recover from these invisible wounds. The funding is designated for the purchase of critical communication and therapeutic tools, including a Virtual Reality therapy system, an Eye-Gaze communication system, and 15 iPads equipped with specialized therapeutic software.
These technologies play a vital role in helping non-verbal children express their needs, emotions, and fears. Eye-Gaze systems allow children to communicate through eye movement, while VR therapy offers calming, immersive experiences that help reduce anxiety and process trauma. Together, these tools restore essential pathways for connection, healing, and emotional safety.
When AvantGarde’s owner, Greg, spoke with ALEH’s leadership about the donation, they emphasized that this contribution is more than financial support—it is a lifeline to an organization devastated by the loss. By restoring access to essential communication tools, AvantGarde’s support helps ensure that even in the face of violence and disruption, children are not left isolated in silence. ALEH has committed to using the funds responsibly and will provide updates on the program’s impact as the children continue their recovery.
Through this gift, AvantGarde reaffirms its belief that giving back means responding with compassion, purpose, and action—especially when the needs are greatest. Supporting ALEH’s mission is one way AG continues to invest in hope, resilience, and the restoration of voices that deserve to be heard.
