Richard Wiseman

IT Professional, Mr. Richard Wiseman holds over 19 years of progressive experience designing enterprise-wide systems and over 13 years of project management and technical lead experience, managing teams across complex enterprise-wide development and implementation. As an IT Project Lead at AvantGarde, Mr. Wiseman manages software development teams for Federal Government custom development initiatives. His primary focus is the development of enterprise Java solutions using Agile Scrum methodology.

Mr. Wiseman is currently the Java Software Development Lead on a Department of Justice enterprise Java custom implementation of a case management and document management system. Under his leadership, the AvantGarde team migrated all functionality from a legacy case tracking application to a modern web-based case management and document management system. This system is now used by thousands of DOJ users across the nation. His notable areas of expertise include full stack Java development, single page applications, responsive design, big data indexing and searching, and 508 compliance. Most recently, he has been leading a task to migrate monolithic Java applications to microservices architecture, deployed to an on-premise cloud.

Mr. Wiseman graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering.
